High Point Redevelopment
Seattle, WA

The Bruner Foundation is pleased to award a 2007 Silver Medal and $10,000 to High Point Redevelopment Project in Seattle. The 2007 Selection Committee selected High Point from a field of over 90 applications from around the country, as an outstanding example of urban placemaking. The Committee commended the project for:
  • Its contribution to the natural environment of Seattle through water conservation, and through a variety of green measures used throughout the project;
  • The recreation of an urban neighborhood through the reconnection of project streets to the neighborhood and the integration of the project into the West Seattle neighborhood;
  • Providing a unique mix of housing types and a range of affordability in a single project
  • Providing a model for job training and other kinds of social and economic support for tenants.
